The went 1-2 by beating the Flyers, for the second time this week, 2-1 yesterday and losing to the Sabers and Caps in OT. There is no word on how long Malkin will be out of action but chances are slim that he will be ready for the opener that is two weeks away. Malkin went face first into the ice.  He had a cut on his face but the worry was that he was keeping his left shoulder quite low when leaving the ice. Malkin signed a one year agreement to play for his Russian team. I figured they were after the GM of a small market team that is able to get the player to play together rather then bring in star power to sell tickets and not make the playoffs.  This is a true testament to the way the NHL is played today. Even through he said he would like to buy the team even if it has to stay in Pittsburgh, I find it hard to believe. The only thing that was the same was that the Pens scored first but after that it was all Devils.  Pens still kept pretty consistent in that they fought hard to the end.  However their season long problem cost them this game, the Penalty Kill.
